This blanket is a nice weight for year-round use in a warm climate like southern california. If I had any complaint, it would be that it only comes in white and doesn't have loops for a duvet cover if you want to use it as an ultralight weight

If I had any complaint, it would be that it only comes in white and doesn't have loops for a duvet cover if you want to use it as an ultralight weight comforter (which we will) and that the width of the blanket is slightly narrower than their comforters are. I'm planning to sew loops on the corners myself anyhow, but it would have been ideal to find an ultralight comforter this weight or put loops on this one.

Shell: 300-thread count soft and silky combed cotton sateen. Warmth Level: light, year-round comfort. The Legends Hotel™ Alberta Down Blanket. Fill: 500-550 fill power ethically sourced, RDS certified European down. Shell: 300-thread count soft and silky combed cotton sateen. Warmth Level: light, year-round comfort. Hi Linda. The LoftAIRE Ultra Alberta Down Alternative Blanket in King size weighs 7.62 lbs. The Alberta Down Blanket in King size weighs 6.58 lbs. Both blankets are considered a light weight warmth. The slight difference in weights is due to the different types of fill. Since down is a denser and slightly warmer fill, we can use less fill to create the same warmth level as the down alternative blanket. Since the Loftaire fill is not quite as dense as warm as the down, we then use slightly more fill in the blanket. Rest assured, whichever blanket you choose, both blankets in either fill are the same warmth level as each other. Thank you for your inquiry.
