Don't buy. Dishonest. Poor quality.
I was told by customer service that the front and back were completely covered in velvet. That is not true. The Company Store took the cheap way out and put black gauze on the back making the craftsmanship poor.

What is the bed made of? Is there particle board inside or solid wood? I am allergic to the glue used in MDF and particleboard. Thank you!

The upholstered headboards, including velvet models like the the Tribeca, are typically constructed with a sturdy frame made from pine wood and in some cases, other durable wood materials for support. It may contain engineered wood components (such as plywood or particleboard) for the frame and adhesive (glue) to secure the foam padding and fabric.
It features 100% polyester velvet over a padded, upholstered frame.
These headboards are designed for longevity, incorporating metal components and foam padding.
Frame Material: Pine wood.

Hi Anne. The Tribeca Velvet Headboard. Attaches to any standard metal bed frame, adjustable to accommodate thicker mattresses. Custom made especially for you, orders may not be cancelled or returned. Mattress and box spring not included. You may check with the manufacturer or your Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed. We are not able to make this recommendation. It may be possible for you to generally use a regular headboard with an adjustable bed, as long as you use the appropriate headboard brackets to attach it to the adjustable base; most adjustable bed frames have mounting points or brackets to accommodate a standard headboard, and if not, you can purchase them separately. We would not know if that would work specifically with this headboard. Thank you for you inquiry.
