This blanket was so heavy when it arrived that I was livid and thought it was going to be heavier than the other too-heavy summer blanket I have. Turns out, it feels perfect. I think it will be great for summer, but for a MENOPAUSAL woman, this is perfect under a light duvet for a frosty room with the window cracked open! Finally, I'm not sweating, but also not too cold. It is a cotton weave and lays nicely. I only wash in cold and low-heat drier as if you use high heat on 100% cotton, they get hard. This is pink and beautiful. My picture shows the size on my queen bed AFTER washing. There is equal amount on both sides. By the way, when drying for the first time, I had to clean the dryer filter 3 times. The first two times had a full 1" x 12" of fluff that came off, with a little thinner amount on the third cleaning. So don't let your dryer run without stopping to empty the filter several times.

I looked everywhere for a blue blanket to match my LL Bean sheets and found this one. The reviews were good so I bought it earlier this year.
The blanket has a good tight weave and is a light-to-medium weight.
Before putting it on our bed, I tossed it in the dryer on a no heat cycle to get the extra lint off.
*It is normal for a cotton blanket to shed a lot of lint before and after washing it a few times, This is
not a sign of an inferior blanket.*
I was very pleased that the blanket hung over the sides and end of our king-sized bed almost to the floor so it covered us well at night. HOWEVER, after I washed it for the first time, according to directions, the blanket SHRANK so much it can barely be tucked in at the sides. It is still long enough to tuck in at the end of the bed.
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this blanket for the excess amount of shrinkage.
If you buy this blanket, my advice is to BUY ONE SIZE LARGER.

The Cotton Weave Blanket has a textured weave finished with a self-hem. The blanket may used on the other side, however the self-hem would prevent having a finished look on the reverse. Thank you for your inquiry.
