I have purchased Company Store Black Label Gusseted Pillows for many years. They were the only pillows that did not cause me neck, shoulders, and ear pain. When it came time to replace my pillows, I automatically assumed that the gusseted down alternative pillows would be the same as the ones I had loved in the past. I purchased a medium and a soft density. These pillows are very buoyant, dense, and will not mold around your head and neck the way the Black Label pillows did. They are so big and firm that i couldn’t get them in the Company Store gusseted cover made for them, and my pillowcases would not fit. In spite of these issues, I tried sleeping on the soft pillow. It was a terrible experience. I ended up with a bad neck and shoulders sprain, which I never had with the Black Diamond pillows. Because of ear sensitivity due to fibromyalgia, my ears were left tender and sore.
Do yourself a favor and skip these horrible pillows, unless you are a masochist.

These pillows are AWFUL - not sure they even deserve 1 star! I've ordered the gusseted down alternative premium pillows several times over the past decade, and it was time to buy a new pillow for my husband. I bought one firm, one medium, and one soft so he could choose which worked best for him. NONE of these pillows fit into the gusseted pillow protectors that I bought specifically for them - they had to be jammed into the protectors and then my pillowcases like sausages, making them hard as a rock! (Funny thing - the pillow protector DOES fit the gusseted pillow that I had ordered as an "extra" several years ago & just started using!). I don't know what happened to this product, but The Company Store needs to drop this version and go back to the old one, which was great!

I ordered a firm and a medium pillow. The medium pillow had to be wrestled into a standard pillowcase and ended up as VERY hard, to the point of barely being able to compress. The firm pillow was worse. I tried sleeping with the medium pillow and woke up with a stiff neck. Unfortunately I cut-off the large (3""x6"") tags before putting the pillowcases on, so now the pillows cannot be returned. Photo attached to try to show pillow size versus the pillowcase (also from The Company Store). I'm disappointed but will most likely be able to make 3 or 4 pillows out of these two.

I had also purchased four pillow protectors, so, I cut open the pillow and filled two pillow protecters with equal amounts of the stuffing. I ended up with two very comfortable pillows!
