After receiving this duvet cover, I washed it on normal cycle, cold water, no bleach, only with other linens from The Company Store in the same color. The result? Holy lint!!! I understand this was the first wash but my goodness!! Please get ready to have a thick layer of lint in your lint catcher and all over your house! As I was trying to straighten this out (since it ended up in a ball in the dryer), lint kept falling out everywhere! Once I got over the amount of lint this thing produced, I laid it out and put it on. Good to know it's authentic, natural fiber though. It uses buttons for closure and ties to keep the duvet in place. It's not a stark white, which I liked. Definitely a lived in look. Wrinkles easily especially on the edges. May need an iron to straighten those out. Overall, exactly as I expected linen bedding to work. Wouldn't spend this much for it but I'm also not a linen girl.

Woven of soft, breathable linen that's been garment washed for a lived-in feel. Garment washing gives it a soft and lived-in feel that gets better with every wash. We can understand you may be happier with a cotton percale or cotton sateen duvet cover, however, with use, and repeated laundering over time the fabric of your linen duvet will improve. It will soften and wrinkle less, however, linen will have more of a relaxed look, more so than a percale.

Have had several linen duvet covers over the years, never had problems with any shedding whatsoever. Even though I washed these, I think the lack of quality necessitates a return. I'll give it a shot. But I can't in good conscience even donate these.

Both are 100% Linen and are garment washed. This new collection offers a wider variety of color choices, and will be very similar to our previous collection.
