Super disappointed. Out of the box the robe seemed great. A tad shorter than I prefer but no big deal. BUT upon first laundering the robe lost at least four inches in length. The sleeves initially required a single turn of the cuff - just what I like. After washing, the cuffs don't even cover my wrist bones. There was perhaps 2. -3 inches shrinkage in girth as well. This went from being a perfect robe to an anniying morning experience. Going back

I am 5'6"" and weigh 135 lbs. I ordered the robe in a medium which based on your size chart would fit 8-10 sizes. I wear a jean size 28 and average dress size is 4-6. I washed the robe before wearing in cold water no bleach by itself. It shrunk so drastically that the sleeves barely reach my wrist before rolling it up as is described in the item posting. It also barely reaches my knees whereas before washing it was about mid shin. I do love the terry velour fabric and it's extremely difficult to find robes in this fabric in any other color than white which may be wonderful for hotels but not for everyday use by an an average person. Should consider a navy blue or forest green

I bought this robe to wear inside but also outside in the midwestern cold because we have an outdoor sauna. It's perfect. I like that it's warm without being overly bulky. It has an internal tie as well as the belt tie, so you can cinch it in.
