Scrolled with grand-scale paisleys, this elegant matelassé coverlet offers just the right amount of texture and pattern to the bed, layering beautifully with prints and solids alike. Crafted in Portugal of decadently soft cotton that works great on top of bed or under a comforter when the weather gets cooler.

Extremely pleased with the coverlet. It is a beautiful shade of aqua, not too dark and not a faded pastel. The design is quite unique and it has a nice weight to it. I love that it is made of natural fibers.

Is the coverlet reversible in the respect that the design is same on both sides?

A: The Hillcrest Cotton Matelasse Coverlet is a matelasse' fabric and the stitching goes thru both sides, but there is a wrong side and a right side. The coverlet is not reversible. Contact us at 1-800-323-8000 to request a swatch of the fabric prior to purchase. Thank you for you inquiry.

Should I order a Full for a Queen if don't want too long? Have 11 or 12 inch tempur-pedic mattress and notice your bed coverings run long for my bed

A: Hi Sandy. The Hillcrest Cotton Matelasse Coverlet measures in the Full: 84 in. x 90 in. and Queen: 96 in. x 98 in. On a Queen size mattress that is 60"" x 80"", the Full coverlet would leave an overhang of 12"" on each side and 10"" overhang at the foot of the bed. The Queen size coverlet on a Queen size mattress, would leave a 18"" overhang on each side and 16"" overhang at the foot of the bed. Thank you for your inquiry.

For care I see it says no bleach. I wish to have a white coverlet and might require bleaching thanks to my little maltese. What is the reason for no bleaching on the white .and is it a pure white or creamy white?

A: Try using Oxy powder on your whites! It's much easier on fabrics, and whitens better than bleach, which can yellow and break down fabrics over time. =)
