Breathable, plushness is perfectly balanced and not too much. I don’t experience “coolness” but also don’t expect that from a mattress pad. Company Store has been by go to for bedding staples and quality.

I had been looking for a mattress pad for a while. Our mattress is comfortable but I wanted to protect it—and finally decided to splurge on this pad! So last night I put it on the bed—and while I would not call it cooling, it is definitely not hot! And it stayed put on the mattress. Honestly, I had the best night sleep I have had in a while. I am pretty picky and obviously we will have to see how it performs long term, but so far I am thrilled with the purchase! We have a pretty nice foam mattress (Saatva). It has a light pillow top on it, then we have it encased in a protective cover. It was comfortable, but we wanted something to separate us from the cover. This topper is soft, well made and fits our 11" thick mattress perfectly.
As for cooling, I'm not sure how much it really changes the temperatures - frankly, I think we sleep SLIGHTLY warmer with it on the bed, but it's worth it for the added comfort.
Overall, we're quite happy with the mattress topper, and would buy another at the same sale price.

Stupid question, but this is stand alone correct? You wouldn't place it over another foam mattress topper, directly on mattress only?

Hi Joe. The Cool Zzz Mattress Pad may be used directly on your mattress, or over another foam topper, this is a personal preference. This pad is offered in 2 different depths: 11 in. skirt accommodates mattresses up to 12 in. deep. 18 in. skirt accommodates mattresses up to 20 in. deep. Keep in mind you may need extra room on the side to accommodate your foam topper. Thank you for your inquiry.
