The color seems darker than image but not terrible. It attracts every bit of hair, feather, fleck and other light colored specks and all show up on the dark fabric so it is a bear to keep looking clean/tidy.

We recommend measuring the depth of your mattress prior to purchasing to ensure a perfect fit. Pilling is natural for flannel material, shedding and pilling will diminish with each wash (machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low). A gentle washing cycle reduces how much the sheets rub together while in the laundry, which can help reduce pilling. Pilling is a result of friction and is a natural process that happens to most flannel fabrics, even the most luxurious ones. Pilling can often be seen on fitted sheets near the foot of the bed where frequent abrasive movement can occur. If you toss and turn at night more than usual, or dry your sheets too long, you also will find greater pilling. Actual product color may vary from the images shown. Due to the napped finish of flannel, pilling is a natural result. Shedding and pilling will diminish with each washing.
