The standard size sham measures 21" x 27" and are designed to fit our standard size pillows that are 20" x 26". Our matelasse products are cut larger to accommodate any shrinkage. The is a specific characteristic of matelasse fabric. Once laundered according to instructions, and shrinkage occurs, the fibers mesh together, and you will see the woven leaf pattern will "pop" and become more prominent and beautiful.
