I now own 2 of these throws, in the sand color. The first order was backordered, the second arrived promptly. The color in the photo is inaccurate, I wanted the lighter cream color as shown in photo, but that is not the color you will receive. It is tan. One of the throws is a bit darker as well. Beautiful throw but it shrinks - cold wash, special detergent, light dry on low, the remainder air dried. My experience with cotton sourced from India is that it often shrinks despite careful handling.

I have been wanting to transition all our bedding to natural fibers and was interested in trying out this 100% cotton velvet. I have been using this throw, under my bed covers, the last week and immediately noticed the difference natural fibers makes in my sleep. I no longer wake up cold or hot throughout the night. I personally find the throw to be soft and lightweight and taupe color compliments our existing bedding. I also found the size to be surprisingly bigger than expected for a throw, it’s nearly the size of a twin. The throw is well-made (well sewn, no snags around the tufts) and I’m very happy with my purchase!
