When the sheets arrived I suddenly remembered that I had ordered a set from Company Store before with the *exact* same experience. Beautiful pattern but the fabric feels so cheap! I could see the individual threads - which is not the case from other sellers that stock percale sheets. This particular set was always excluded from site-wide sales so I thought, gee, they must be really fantastic. Sadly, not so, and so I sent them back.

With use and repeated laundering, over time, the fabric improves. Your sheets will soften, feel thicker and wrinkle less. If you prefer sheets that feel more luxurious at the onset, we recommend our sheet collections that are cotton or cotton sateen in a higher thread count.

The higher the thread count, the tighter the weave and the warmer the sheets. Cotton percale sheets are known for their tight, crisp weave, which gives them a cool and breathable feel. We recommend laundering the sheets prior to use. Over time, with each wash, the fibers mesh together more tightly, giving the sheets a slightly thicker and more luxurious feel.
