This is VERY THICK and VERY STIFF. It is also HUGE! It is too large for a standard pillowcase (well, it can be crammed in, but it looks horrible because it is too large). No way could anyone sleep with this thing!

I’m a side and stomach sleeper so it can be a little difficult trying to find a good pillow for both positions. Most of them are either too soft and go flat or they’re too firm and have no give. This one feels like the best of both worlds and sports my neck and shoulders well. I did notice that it retains heat a bit more than is comfortable for summer sleeping but would be great for colder nights. Had trouble stuffing it into a standard pillowcase due to the gusset and it lost some of the "fluffiness" since it had no room to expand outward. The materials are high quality and feel like they'll be durable for a long time.

Although the website recommended FIRM for me, since I'm a side-sleeper, this pillow had way too much loft. It was uncomfortably hard and overstuffed for me. I had to return it. Not sure if I should order the medium or the soft...so I haven't yet.

Perhaps the non-gusseted would work better for you as it does not have the 2 inches side wall and would not be as lofty. This pillow is slightly larger than a standard pillow which means the advantage of the gusset design is lost when it's stuffed into a pillowcase.

This pillow measures 20 x 26 inches in the standard size and 20 x 36 inches in the king size which are normal sizes for pillows. We do offer gusseted pillow protectors for our gusseted pillows (to use under the pillowcases) but the pillows should fit the pillowcases we offer fine. The pillows may not fit pillowcases sold elsewhere, depending on the size of the pillowcases purchased. We have included below the link to our pillowcases. It does say the cover is made in China and the feathers are responsibly sourced and I’m definitely ok with paying more is the feathers are sourced responsibly in the USA although this is unclear.
Don’t feel any feather poking through.
