Nice pillow!
This is soft and light pillow. There was no odd smell coming from the packaging. Because it's made from real feathers I do not believe it will affect your allergies. The pillow was made well so I do believe it hold up in a washing machine.

The pillow feels of good quality with funny smells that some pillows come with. It’s comfortable and not overly firm. You do have to adjust it some so the feathers don’t poke you. And I’ve found it hard to find a pillowcase.

Hi- This pillow is listed as a firm density. The density should feel similar to a yoga bolster listed as a firm density. They may feel a little different depending on the fill used. Thank you.
