Blackout liner is polyester
I wouldn't have ordered the blackout version if I had known the blackout liner was polyester. Plastic breaks down in sunlight and creates microplastic dust that gets inhaled.

We are enjoying these lovely blackout curtains. They are Very attractive, but most importantly, the cotton liner keeps the sunlight out. When we moved into our retirement home in Florida, we thought “oh how nice, the sun rises and comes into our bedroom window, that will have us up and about early every day.” Well, the reality is sometimes you want to sleep in. My husband would wake up with the sunlight and so want to go back to sleep, but it wasn’t possible until now. These curtains did exactly what they claimed. They darken the room and when I slide them open in the morning, there’s the sunshine waiting. Thank you for solving a problem that we’ve had for a while with these dusty blue beautifully textured curtains that meet the high standards I’ve come to expect from the company store!

I had to upgrade my rod because of them so if you are purchasing them just know they’re heavy and you also may need a rod upgrade. Hi KatieQ. The Company Cotton™ Texture Blackout Window Curtain. Each curtain panel is sold individually. 58028A is the item number for the Blackout curtain. The blackout liner is attached to the curtain as shown in the photo array. The Company Cotton™ Texture Window Curtain, item 58028B is the curtain panel that is sold without the blackout feature. So you would purchase the blackout curtain panel or the curtain panel that does not have the blackout feature, one or the other. Thank you for your inquiry.
