It absorbs the wetness without the smell.
You step out of the shower on to the soft material. The material absorbs all the water. After a week still no smell to it. It feels amazing. Well worth the price.

My mother stayed over and after showering asked me right off where I'd found the rug as it was like stepping onto a cushion. I agree and I now will be purchasing one in another color for my main bathroom. I believe it will hold up to being washed as well which is also a bonus. Cozy and kitty approved!
This bath mat was large and cozy! My kitty instantly loved it. It is fairly light but substantial. It also absorbed the water from the shower and bath pretty well. I’d recommend it!
