Hi Florida850. Thank you for reviewing our wonderful Company Cotton™ Plush Spa Solid Bath Towels, and we are pleased that you like the softness. To keep the towels at best absorbency, pay special attention when washing the towels. It is recommended to wash in cold water, gentle cycle, shaking them out while moving to the dryer, and tumble dry low. One of the best ways to keep towels absorbent is to skip the fabric softener and dryer sheets. Both liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets contain oils that coat the fibers, making them less absorbent. Like a fabric softener, excess detergent can accumulate on the towel fibers, limiting absorbency. Use the right amount of detergent and add an extra rinse cycle when you wash to ensure all of the extra soap is removed. Using wool dryer balls in the dryer will keep the towels moving to soften and facilitate drying time (we have them online, item 10027, if you do not already have dryer balls).
