Textured bed skirt with a mini-diamond matelassé pattern, the material is thick, and more heavy-duty than a percale. Do I need to remove the mattress in order to install this bed skirt? I'm not very strong so lifting the mattress would be difficult for me. Can it be tucked in without much effort?

Unfortunately, the bedskirt would require that you lift your mattress. I also need a bed skirt with a split for a four Poster bed. Is the construction such that I Could open the corner seam and make a split? If not what split skirts do you offer with a 16-18"" Drop?

Hello ~ The Madelyn Matelasse Bedskirt does have split corners, but they overlay. You could order the bedskirt and see if it is possible to open the seams. If you feel it will not work, you can return it. I hope this will work for you.
