Customer Reviews & Questions
Review Summary
Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews
Customers overwhelmingly praise this pillow for its exceptional comfort and luxurious softness, with many describing it as cloud-like and perfect for sleeping. The down and feather fill delivers an ideal balance of plushness and gentle support, particularly appealing to side and stomach sleepers who appreciate how it cradles the head without rigidity. Reviewers consistently highlight its breathability and lack of heat retention as contributing to restful sleep. Many customers report repeat purchases over years, reflecting strong satisfaction and loyalty. A small number of side sleepers found it too soft or noted it flattens over time, but these concerns remain minor compared to widespread praise.

disappointed pillow review
My wife is extremely disappointed with the quality of this product considering the price! She went on amazon and bought two pillows at a third of the cost! Have purchased multiple items over the years and have been very pleased!

Hi OH. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're very sorry that the Down & Feather Soft Density Pillow did not provide the loft you were expecting. We understand how disappointing that can be when you're looking forward to a comfortable night's sleep. We appreciated the opportunity to speak with you and assist with your return. For customers who prefer more fullness and support, our Medium Density option may be a better fit for you. Thank you again for your feedback, and we apologize that this pillow did not meet your expectations. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if we can assist you with finding a pillow that you will love. We are always happy to help!

I'm a side sleeper and I need a firm, but not too firm pillow. These are my fourth set of these pillows that I have purchased over thirty years. I love them and will not even consider a cheaper pillow. I value my sleep, especially at my advanced age. I can't sleep without these pillows and I take them with me when I travel.

Hi Rik. Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the medium density Down & Feather Pillow wasn't as filled or supportive as you expected. We appreciate you speaking with us on the phone earlier. As mentioned, you are welcome to return this pillow, and we think our firm density version will give you the exact fullness you're looking for. Please let us know if you need any assistance setting that return or exchange. We are always happy to help!

New down pillow
I finally broke down and ordered a new down pillow to supplement my original. Beautiful product arrived promptly. Well packaged, great service and fair price for quality item. Could be heavier but likely needs time to be broken in.

Can size affect the firmness or softness of this 50/50 pillow? I bought a king medium two years ago and it feels much more solid and firm than a standard size medium that was just delivered a few days ago. Why the difference? And what do I buy now?

100% RDS down fill. 230-thread-count cotton cambric shell. Available in Soft, Medium and Firm densities. ***Your King size pillow from your 2024 order is the Better Down Goose Feather & Goose Down Pillow (King, White) features a 90% white goose feather and 10% white goose down fill inside a 233-thread-count 100% cotton shell, measuring 20" x 36". • Fill Material: 90% white goose feather, 10% white goose down. • Shell Material: 100% cotton, 233 thread count. Hi Cindy. The LaCrosse™ Down & Feather Pillow provides an excellent mix of softness and support with a lofty fill of 50% down and 50% small feathers. Fill: 50% down/50% feathers. 100% RDS down fill. 230-thread-count cotton cambric shell. Available in Soft, Medium and Firm densities. You did not mention the size of the pillow you are interested in, nor the size of the pillow you are making your comparison to. Also, upon checking your order history, we found that you have purchased pillows in sizes standard, queen and king in both 50/50 feather and down fill and 75/25 feather and down fill. We suggest that you contact our customer service group at 1-800-323-8000 to confirm an accurate comparison, or in the alternative, know that our soft density, designed for stomach sleepers and our medium density designed for back sleepers, in the feather and down fill combination should be very similar to what you have purchased in the past. Thank you for your inquiry.

Are these pillows assembled in the USA?
I just received my new Lacrosse pillows and they say Made in China.

Hi A.C. The LaCrosse™ Down & Feather Pillow. Assembled in the USA of fine imported goods; shell is imported. Since the shell is imported, your label will state that it (the shell) is made in China, however your pillow was assembled in the United States. Thank you for your inquiry.

Hi Suki. The LaCrosse™ Down & Feather Pillow. This pillow provides an excellent mix of softness and support with a lofty fill of 50% down and 50% small feathers. Encased in a finely sewn shell of soft cotton cambric, it’s offered in three densities for all types of sleepers. Hypoallergenic down/feather pillow. Fill: 50% down/50% feathers. 100% RDS down fill, certified by Control Union cert 851460. 230-thread-count cotton cambric shell. The feather and down is considered hypoallergenic because we undergo a rigorous, multi-step cleaning and purification process. This process removes dust, dirt, and allergens (like dander) from the down clusters, exceeding government cleanliness regulations to ensure the fill does not trigger allergic reactions in most users. In researching your past order history, we see that you have purchased a few of our Best Down Premium Pillows as well as our Down Pillowtop Featherbed. Thank you for your inquiry.

How much fill is in this pillow? 200? I’m a back or side sleeper. I need a high loft pillow with a 300 fill of feathers and down please.
Thank you,

HI Debbie. The LaCrosse™ Down & Feather Pillow. This pillow is 50% down/50% feathers. Since feathers do not have a fill power, we would not have a fill power number for this combination or for the fill power of only the down. However any down that we used in our pillows is at least a 500-550 fill power since we do not have down with any thing lower than 500. This pillow is available in Soft, Medium and Firm densities. We recommend the firm density for side sleepers, as this has the most amount of fill. Thank you for your inquiry.

I am a side sleeper with narrow shoulders. Which weight should I buy?
Susie
05/28/2025
Hi Susie. The LaCrosse™ Down & Feather Pillow. Side sleepers should choose a firm, extra firm, or gusseted pillow that contours and cradles the head, neck, and shoulders, providing an even sleeping surface to help keep the body in a horizontal line. We recommend this pillow in the firm density. Thank you for your inquiry.
