soft, comfortable, cool. I love how it feels and looks. 4 stars because it sheds a LOT in the dryer which makes me worried about it breaking down if I wash it too often. No noticeable quality degradation yet.

This lovely light blanket has been a disappointment. I have a cat with all four sets of claws, and, with almost every night we sleep under the blanket, I find a new snag in the morning. Her claws are trimmed, but the weave of this blanket is very open. I'm going to use it until I can no longer stand how it looks, and then I'm going to donate it to the Animal Protective League for bedding in their animal shelter.

The Gossamer blanket is woven in three gauzy layers and might be a issue if cats are going to use it. Cats like to scratch and could get there nails caught in the material. This is a very lightweight blanket as one would expect from gossamer. The color is exactly as shown. I personally prefer a heavier weight to blankets but this is comfortable and just enough for spring and fall weather.
