Sophia Johnson

Mother of two and lover all things vintage—#CompanyMom, Sophia Johnson, loves tucking her girls in for bedtime.

"There's something sacred and meaningful about tucking my girls in for the night."

“Read me a story mama, sing me a song!” “Make me laugh mama, turn on the light.” These are words I hear every night as a momma to two beautiful girls. Even though some nights feel relative and almost mundane, there is something sacred and meaningful about tucking my girls in for the night.

I often visualize bedtime as a soft blanket draped upon their tiny and soft bodies, warm, secure, and drifting off into sweet slumber. Every night once the girls are sleeping hard, my husband and I tip toe in to see them fast asleep. There’s something so magical and peaceful about kissing them one last time, stroking Beatrice’s soft blonde hair, and seeing Elouise arms spread wide. I hope when they grow older they will remember the stories, the laughing, the warmth and tenderness of being seen, heard, and tucked in for the night by mommy and daddy.
