Q:Is the PrimaLoft Fiberbed treated with any chemicals? What makes it "antimicrobial," etc.?Asked on 11/27/2016 by dt from ca
A:Hello. The Black Label Primaloft Fiberbed. The Black Label fiber is an antimicrobial fiber. The antimicrobial characteristic is created from the fiber being treated with Trimethoxy sinyl propyl dimenthyl octadecyl ammonium chloride. The process is integrated into the fiber - it is not applied to the surface. The technology actually draws the organisms into itself and destroys them. It is effective against all problem microbes including bacteria, fungi and algae. It does not rub off or migrate onto the skin. All processes have been registered with global regulatory agencies and meet all requirements. Thank you.
Wondering if this Fiberbed keep the body during sleeping time cool or warm?Asked on 10/28/2016 by Shaki from Rockville MD
A:Hi Shaki. The Black Label™ PrimaLoft® Fiberbed. The Primaloft clusters form tiny air pockets to wick away moisture, similar to down. It uses a patented ultra fine microscopic fiber to help the body retain warmth. Primaloft is as warm as down, compressible, breathable and offers superior water repellency so you remain dry, warm and comfortable. Due to these qualities you will remain cool in the warmer months as well. Thank you.
Q:Should the mattress pad go on top of this or under it?Asked on 9/15/2016 by Pete
Q:I have a firm queen size mattress. The past couple of years I have developed a spinal issue due to aging, and it is very uncomfortable to sleep on what was once so comfortable to me! I have to sleep on a lumpy pull out mattress because it allows my body to sink into it, and this is the only way I can sleep comfortably anymore. I slept on a pillow top mattress at a Hilton hotel recently and found it comfortable. I am trying to find some thing similar to put on my mattress without having to buy a new one. I also live in Florida, so I do NOT want to be warm. Is this a good solution/ If not, is there one you can recommend from your store?Asked on 9/6/2016 by Modagirl from United States
Q:What do recommend for cleaning?Asked on 8/17/2016 by Kerrin from Boston, MA
Q:How THICK is this item? 2 inches? 3 inches? 4 inches? 5 inches? thank youAsked on 7/13/2016 by mitch
A:Hi Mitch - The Black Label PrimaLoft Fiberbed is 4 inches thick. Thank you.Answered on 7/13/2016 by Anonymous
Q:How is this "Fiberbed" / Topper anchored to the existing mattress? Are there elastic bands? Is there a skirt? I am strongly considering this purchase, but it seems to me that the Fiberbed would need to be somehow prevented from sliding around.
Thank you.Asked on 7/12/2016 by Boston Sleeper from Boston, MA
A:Hi - The Black Label PrimaLoft Fiberbed does not have a skirt or bands. The Fiberbed does not actually attach to the mattress, instead it would lay on top of the mattress. Due to the size and weight of the item it does very little sliding around. You may also put your mattress pad and fitted sheet over the top of the Fiberbed to protect it and also to help keep it in place. Thank you.Answered on 7/12/2016 by Anonymous
Q:Is the featherbed used under the fitted sheet for protection?Asked on 7/8/2016 by Gogo from Murfreesboro, TN
A:Hello. The Black Label Primaloft Fiberbed can be used under the fitted bottom sheet. We do sell covers, item number FA27 or IA24 to protect your Fiberbed and if you would prefer to use on top of your mattress. Thank you.Answered on 7/9/2016 by Anonymous
Q:I have twin XL or California Twin which is 78" long; would this product work or am Igoing to lose some cushioning at head or foot.?Asked on 6/24/2016 by DOUGLAS from United States
A:Hi Douglas- The measurement for the twin on this item is 75" long so you would lose about 3". Thank you.Answered on 6/24/2016 by Anonymous
Q:How does one use this - UNDER the fitted bottom sheet? As it can only be spot cleaned it seems it should be protected in some way...so, how? Thanks!Asked on 5/17/2016 by LC from United States
A:We have one of these on our queen size bed. We did get the cover but also have a queen size fitted sheet on the mattress, the fiberbed layered on top of that and a king size flat sheet over that (with the sides tucked under the regular mattress. We then have a queen flat sheet on top of that and sleep between the king size sheet and the flat queen sheet. The cover is a pain to take on and off to wash--or I am just too lazy. Either way, it makes washing the sheets easier.Answered on 6/16/2016 by Michele from Madison, WI
