At last...after trying so many down comforters...the extra light is absolutely perfect for our Bay Area needs!  Light weight, pure luxury feel of comforter and delightful amount of warmth.  We are using it over a top sheet to keep it clean as it isn't machine washable.  Perfect!  Very pleased with the quality after returning the very unacceptable LaCrosse.  Highly recommend!!

I have purchased comforters from TCS for 20 years and the quality is always very good.  But with this one, the fill was disappointing. Not sure if its been taken over by a new company or if its just that everything is much more expensive these days for lesser quality.

I bought an Alberta Double Diamond extra warmth comforter from them about 5 years ago and THAT was a comforter!  It had the exact same fill of 600-650 and it was  heavy and warm. Unfortunately, they don't make that one any more.

This most recent one that I bought, also extra warmth, 600-650 fill is, comparatively speaking,  about 30% less fill, which was disappointing.  ( I still have the old one and side by side, the old one is still better )

The white sateen cover of the new one was high quality and very nice and the fill level was liveable, but at  $619  ( on sale for about $450,)  It was not full and heavy enough for my taste.

I will keep it, however, because I am getting the feeling that the heaviness and fill that I want, compared to the Alberta double diamond of five years ago, can only be found with the $800+ comforters and that price is out of the question for me.

So all in all, I guess that the quality for the price is not what it once was.

I will say that the customer service, however, is very good, although they don't include a paid-return label on any of their merchandise.

    Very happy with my purchase

Comments about Legends® Geneva Hungarian Goose Down Comforter:

After months of research, I finally settled on buying this comforter and I am so glad I did. I live in New York and sleep hot. I purchased the lightweight comforter and I think will be perfect for all year round. I was skeptical that it might not be fluffy enough because I got the lightweight one. It's still fluffy. It's super light, warm, cozy, and soft. Some critiques (and I'm nip-picking here) is that the white color has a sheen on it that makes it look a little plastic-y but I intend to eventually put a duvet cover on it anyway. When I fluff it, little tiny feathers also do fly out but nothing nearly as bad as my past experiences. Shipping was also extremely fast! Overall, I am so happy with my purchase and am loving sleeping under a soft warm cloud.

Comments about Legends® Geneva Hungarian Goose Down Comforter:

This was an exceptional find - makes you feel like a princess:)  It feels absolutely luxurious - warm without the weight - very fluffy and light.  We live in Maine and the temps are quite cold.  Heating with oil and trying to be cost conscious when a gallon of heating oil was $3.50+ per gallon several years ago, we were able to keep our bedroom around 56 degrees and stay very warm with the extra warm comforter.  Even my Mainer husband that never comments about anything to do with our household said a few times without prompting that he thought the comforter was great.  It wasn't inexpensive but, considering our heating costs, I believe we had payback in one winter!  This comforter somehow doesn't make you too hot though in spring and fall.  We only have to switch comforters in the summer.  The only issue I've had is that I purchased an oversized queen.  The duvet covers for oversized anything on The Company Store website are very boring.  I would not get oversized again.

Comments about Legends® Geneva Hungarian Goose Down Comforter:

This is my first down comforter, and what an excellent choice I made! Heard many horror stories about people having allergy reactions to their down comforters. This is really hypoallergenic, a treasure to wrap myself in on cold, winter nights. There is the added benefit of being able to turn the heat down (saving money) at night because you'll be warm, toasty and so comfortable under this beautiful down comforter.

    BEST ON THE MARKET

Comments about Legends® Geneva Hungarian Goose Down Comforter:

I've used this down comforter for years and gone through a few. Somehow I roped myself into buying a major online competitors brand this time. Couldn't wait to return it and come back for this! Folks, if you are into down for it's temperature regulating properties -- I advise shying away from duck down or Siberian (Chinese) down. Hungarian Goose Down is miraculous and does what "down" is supposed to to. Keep your bed at body temperature! I went to sleep in a room that was 56 degrees, and woke up in a room that was 72 degrees feeling equally comfortable. I bought the super light, FYI. The down needs to breath when you unpack it -- use it for a few days without a cover if possible. When you shake it do it gently so you don't shake all the down into lumps. I tend to lift and toss it like tossing a salad and toss it into the air like you do when laying a sheet-- try to get it to float which allows air to move through it. Also, The fluffier the warmer. When the weather gets warmer I fluff mine less and it keeps me cooler. The cover makes a slight stiff crunching sound but believe me you do not want down smashed under heavy sateen that doesn't breath. Down has to breath to work. I also recommend only using a cotton sheeting duvet cover -- a heavier cover will make the down less warm and also allow it to regulate your bed temperature less efficiently. If you need extra warmth use a thin wool blanket underneath the down. The washable wool are perfect as they breath too. Also sateen sheets are clingy, heavy and hold moisture -- not a great match for down. Toss your comforter in the dryer now and then to keep the down dry to maintain loft and freshness. Use a tiny bit of heat only and mostly air. The heat will build up in a couple of minutes in the dryer -- stand by and check it to be sure it stays just slightly warm. Too much heat damages the down. It took me 30 years to figure all this out. Hope it helps someone else.

I bought this over two years ago and it's still as nice and as comfortable as the day I got it.

Probably not the best idea to buy the "extra warmth" fill seeing as I live in the South. I'm only able to use it in the winter.

I just bought myself a "super light" fill for the warmer months.

    Thanks Company Store!

Comments about Legends® Geneva Hungarian Goose Down Comforter:

We purchased the medium warmth for year round use. This comforter is perfect! It is soft, evenly filled and gives us the desired warmth. There does not seem to be any feathers coming out and the stitching and quality seem excellent. We would definitely recommend this comforter to friends and family. Thank you Company Store!!

The white color is stunning and of great warmth and size. I bought the medium warmth. The only thing that I do not like is sometimes a small feather comes out and they are so tiny that I inhale them and have coughing fits.
