Q:Hi, I have a soft pillow top mattress that I'm looking to firm up a little. Has anyone used this topper on top of a softer mattress and felt like it is firmer, or you sink less into your mattress with it on?Asked on 6/21/2017 by NeedFirmerMattress from NY, NY
A:Hi- The Imperial wool mattress pad is going to give more cushion and allow you to sink in more. We would recommend to use item # MB21 Quiet Waterproof Quilted Mattress Pad or item # MA80 400-Thread Count Waterproof Cotton Top Mattress Pad. Thank you.
Q:Trying to evaluate differences between wool mattress pads you sell. In order to be washable, is the wool made into a fiber then sewed to fabric removing the hide? Why does the more expensive mattress pad require dry cleaning only?Asked on 6/9/2017 by diane from Finger Lakes NY
A:Hi Diane. The Imperial Wool Mattress Pad. Wool is something that has been sheared, there is no hide. The Ultra Fleece Mattress Pad is 2" thick, has cotton backing and is 100% American Wool Pile. This type of wool is dry clean only. The Imperial Wool Mattress pad Has 1 1/4" American Merino Wool with 100% poly backing and is machine washable. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:Is the wool mattress pad water resistant? We are hoping to protect a natural latex mattress from spills/accidents.Asked on 6/2/2017 by HS from undisclosed
A:It will wick up water efficiently, so it could protect by acting as a sponge, but fluid will seep through. However, I have used this over a standard mattress protector without issues.Answered on 6/9/2017 by Daxx from Chicago
