The Company Store is working together With Family Promise To bring comfort to homeless children.
The Company Store will match each purchase of a comforter with a donation of one to a homeless child in America. We will automatically ship comforters to Family Promise affiliates throughout the United States. The child will be able to keep the comforter as they move out of a shelter to transitional and permanent housing.
It’s not just a comforter. A comforter is something many of us may take for granted, but it makes a big impact on the lives of the children we work with—not only by keeping them warm at night, but by providing them in some small way with the comfort of home at a very difficult time.
What is Buy One, Give One? Since 2011, The Company Store and CompanyKids have worked with charitable organizations across the country to donate thousands of comforters to homeless children. Through the Buy One, Give One program, we have donated a comforter to a child with every comforter purchased from our website or catalog.
We have distributed over 16,000 comforters. In 2012, we partnered with Family Promise, the nation's leading nonprofit committed to helping homeless and low-income families, to send 16,735 comforters to 88 locations throughout 33 states. We’re doing it again this year.
We’re working with Family Promise chapters all over the United States to reach as many families as possible. The Three-Step Process:
