Roman Shades First, decide if you would an Inside or Outside Mount: An inside mounted shade is mounted within the window frame. An inside mount allows you to cover your window, without hiding the window molding. You must have at least 1" on inside frame for brackets. Outside mounted shades are mounted on a wall or molding. This is a great way to make a window look larger, or make two uneven windows look the same size. It is also an option when the depth of the frame does not allow for proper inside mounting. |

Measure the width of the area to be covered, including window molding when applicable. For a full look, order a width that is 2 ½" times (or more, depending on desired effect) the measured window width. Measure the length of the window, deciding where you will be placing the rod and where you would like the drape to fall. For a pooled effect, add 6-8" to the length. Our rod pocket and tab top panels are measured from the top of the rod pocket
and tab top to the bottom of the hem. |
