How to Clean Down

Washing a down comforter is easier than you think – there’s no need to spend the extra money on dry cleaning. If it’s white, add a little bleach, but don’t overdo it. And then add some of our specially formulated down cleaner. It’s non-toxic and biodegradable, yet thoroughly washes your comforter or down pillow with just one wash, keeping it clean and fresh.
Next, place your comforter in the dryer on the lowest possible setting. Don’t do this late in the day: it’s a long process, and you must resist the temptation to crank the dryer up to high. When allowed to dry on their own, down clusters will return to their hardy natural state – providing the same full, lofty appearance as when you first bought your comforter. You can speed up the process by adding down fluffer rings to the dryer. They "punch" the comforter as it tumbles, helping the wet down clusters open up. This allows them to dry more fully and return your comforter or pillow to its original lofty state.
